In the Asian continent, the mangosteen is known as the Queen of Fruit. The shell of the Mangosteen looks tough and hard, but actually, it is soft and easy to open. To open a mangosteen, one holds the fruits in both hands and presses it gently until it cracks. Inside, the mangosteen is filled with flavorful whitish wedged segments. Its flavor is a unique blend of tangy sweetness. It is rich in vitamins such as C, B1, B2, B6, and the minerals potassium, Iron, and calcium.
